Each year the University of Colorado School of Medicine and the Medical Alumni Association bestows awards to distinguished alumni who have gone on to perform outstanding research, fill positions of significance, and/or serve their communities in extraordinary ways. Because you are in a unique position to remember these exceptional medical professionals, the Medical Alumni Association seeks your help to identify these distinguished alumni who deserve recognition.

Recent Graduate Humanitarian Award

Deadline: May 31, 2021

The Recent Graduate Humanitarian Award recognizes a commitment at the start of a professional path to society or to humankind and honors those who have provided significant impact through humanitarian service. The award honors recent graduates who have fulfilled the obligations of their education through creative citizenship and exemplary service leadership in ways that benefit society and bring credit to the institution.

Criteria for Recent Graduate Humanitarian Award

  • The nominee has made a significant impact through humanitarian service
  • The nominee demonstrates extraordinary service and exceptional leadership through global or local service
  • The nominee fulfills the obligations of their education through creative citizenship and exemplary service leadership in ways that benefit society and bring credit to the institution
  • The nominee may have demonstrated significant commitment since graduation to the CU School of Medicine and/or the CU Medical Alumni Association
  • The nominee is an MD graduate of the CU School of Medicine in the past 15 years

Medical Alumni Association Recent Graduate Humanitarian Award

The Recent Graduate Humanitarian Award recognizes a commitment at the start of a professional path to society or to humankind and honors those who have provided significant impact through humanitarian service.
