Textbook & Resources Checkout Agreement

The Learning Resources Center now has a library of textbooks, educational models, graphing and scientific calculators, and more for students to check out. The goal is to help provide CU Denver students with additional tools necessary for academic success! Use items for on-campus study groups, assistance during your tutoring sessions, or to study alone.

Students can check out items 15 minutes past the hour to allow priority for tutors to use materials. Students will be required to sign an agreement and provide an ID (drivers license or campus ID) in order to check out any materials form the LRC library. Students only need to complete one agreement which is valid for the entire academic year.

1) I agree to bear the entire risk of loss or damage to any LRC textbooks, resources, technology/computers, or study aides/models from any and every cause whatsoever, except damage caused by normal wear and tear, and shall be financially responsible and obligated to replace or repair the equipment as appropriate of any and all equipment lost or damaged while items are checked out in my name.*

2) I am responsible for ensuring LRC textbooks, resources, or study aides/models are functional, complete and in working condition upon checkout and am responsible for returning the equipment in the same condition as originally loaned. I will ensure any items checked out are properly repacked in the appropriate cases if applicable, including all accessories and peripheral items originally included (cables, adapters, batteries, manuals, carrying cases, packing materials, etc.)*

3) I shall use the LRC textbooks, resources, and/or study aides/models as intended only for CU Denver study purposes. I understand that I am the only person authorized to use and/or operate the checked out item(s), and that I will not loan the items to anyone else or allow anyone else to use and/or operate the equipment. *

4) The Learning Resources Center reserves the right to refuse check-out of textbooks, resources, or study aides/models to any individual or group.*

5) I understand that I am responsible for returning any textbooks, resources, or study aides/models checked out to me back to the Learning Resources Center main office at the specified time (typically on the hour) for which it is being used. I understand that equipment, textbook or supplies I checkout cannot be checked out overnight, and that I am responsible for returning all items. *

6) I understand that no solution manuals or sensitive items will be allowed to be checked out at the discretion of the LRC staff. *
