  • PURPOSE/SUMMARY OF JOB

The Food Pantry Staff will be responsible for helping to restock the campus food pantry on a weekly basis. They will do inventory, remove expired items from the pantry and keep the space clean and organized. They will assist students, faculty and staff that utilize the pantry services by checking them in, answering questions and being a general resource. They will help organize and manage food and clothing drives and work with campus partners to ensure we are meeting the needs of our community. They will also be responsible for helping to answer Student Affairs general emails and phone messages.

II.           DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Staff the Anschutz campus Food Pantry
  • Assist individuals visiting the pantry
  • Check them in
  • Answer questions
  • Be a general resource
  • Keep pantry clean and organized
  • Assist with re-stocking the food pantry on a weekly basis
  • Inventory pantry items, as needed
  • Provide assistance with Food Pantry related events
  • Ensure that emails that come through the main Student Affairs email address are answered in a timely and professional manner
  • Other duties as assigned

III.          QUALIFICATIONS: Any equivalent combination of education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Proficiency in oral and written communication
  • Ability to work in fast paced, professional office setting and ability to handle stressful situations
  • Prior experience working in a customer service setting
  • Ability to multi-task  
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills required – courteous, polite, professional and respectful
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Motivated to go above and beyond
