CU Denver Advancement Event Support Request Form


You’re ready to plan an event for donors or alumni—awesome! The Office of Advancement team is here to help—as a resource and as support in planning your event as capacity allows.

The Office of Advancement plans and executes certain campus-wide donor and alumni events that contribute to CU Denver’s strategic goals for fundraising and engagement. We work with campus partners on unit-specific events or other one-off events on a case-by-case basis depending on capacity, budget, and strategic objectives.

Please ensure that you have reviewed the Office of Advancement standard operating procedure for requesting event support.

Please complete the form below. You will receive a confirmation email detailing your request and Advancement staff will follow up with you accordingly. In the meantime, if you have questions contact your school or college Director of Development or the Assistant Director of Events and Stewardship, Katie Comer at katherine.comer@ucdenver.edu. Please note that submitting this form does not guarantee assistance.

PROCESS:

  • The individual responsible and accountable for the event (the “event leader”) completes the form below, at least 15 weeks before the event date.  
  • The Office of Advancement leadership group reviews the form and follows up to confirm the areas in which it is able to offer assistance.
  • Depending on the level of involvement requested, Office of Advancement staff may work with the event leader to set up an exploratory meeting including all internal staff that will play a role in the event (Donor and Alumni Engagement, Advancement Communications, Advancement Operations, etc.).
    • The event leader will set the agenda and bring this form and any budget parameters to the meeting.
    • At the end of the exploratory meeting, Office of Advancement staff will advise on follow-up.
    • Office of Advancement assigns appropriate point of contact for event support.
    • The event leader will be responsible for leading a de-briefing meeting after the event.
