Displaced Aurarian Scholarship Application

The Displaced Aurarian Scholarship is designed to provide funds for tuition and fees to students who were residents of the Auraria neighborhood at the time the Auraria Campus was first built. The program also extends to the children and grandchildren of these residents. All applicants are required to provide documented proof of residency that they, their parents, or grandparents lived within the Aurarian Neighborhood boundaries between the years of 1955 and 1973.

Substantiation of Eligibility:

All applicants must provide documentation proving residency for themselves, their parents or grandparents in the Auraria neighborhood between the years of 1955 and 1973. Birth certificates, school and church records, tax documents, newspaper articles, etc. may be used as verification. Please upload documentation below or in person along with your completed application to the Financial Aid and Scholarship Resource Office located in the Student Commons Building 1201 Larimer St. RM 5105.

Within two weeks following the submission of your application and substantiating documents, a member of the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office staff will follow up with you to discuss the status of your application.

By signing this application, I authorize my awarding institution to release and publish information about my award. This includes providing information to governmental agencies for required reporting purposes and in cases where they may be considering me for assistance (welfare, food stamps, ADC, etc.). I authorize the sharing of my application and supporting documentation between Community College of Denver, Metropolitan State College and the University of Colorado Denver. I agree to cooperate with additional requests for information. I understand Displaced Aurarian Scholarship awards are subject to availability of funds. That receipt of a scholarship award does not guarantee any future awards; and that, providing funds remain available, I am limited to receiving a maximum lifetime award as specified by my awarding institution.
